On November 19, join the Coastal Discovery Museum, Hilton Head Audubon and Mitchelville Preservation for an Evening with Dr. J. Drew Lanham. A reception will be held at 5 pm in the Coligny Theatre, with the presentation starting at 5:30 pm. Explore the convergence of conservation and culture with Dr. Lanham at this special evening program and book signing. 
Tide Runners: Shrimping and Fishing on the Carolinas and Georgia Coast, is the culmination of nine years of work by photographer and author Tim Barnwell. Best known for his touching and evocative images of Appalachia, here he turns his keen eye and documentary talents to focus on the shrimping and fishing industries of the southeastern coast. 
Murray Sease, a busy Bluffton artist, chats about her new exhibit Southern Light & Smiles: “It is a visual story of our wonderful surroundings here in South Carolina – the beautiful creatures, people, and landscapes, both sweeping and intimate.
Mary Kay Long’s art exhibit in November combines her love of painting and music. Long named all of her paintings after song titles for her upcoming show, “With a Song in My Heart.” She’s also kicking off her opening reception with a fun, music-inspired contest from 3-5 p.m. Nov. 10 at The Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) gallery, located at 6 Church Street in Old Town Bluffton. 
The Department of Visual Art & Design at the University of South Carolina Beaufort presents the artwork of Jamie Berry, Attrition,at the Sea Islands Center Gallery. An opening reception will take place Friday, November 1, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. with a gallery talk at 6 p.m. The exhibit will remain on view through December 13. The Sea Islands Center Gallery is located at 1106 Carteret Street. Contact the gallery for current hours.
The Firehouse Gallery and Frame Shop, 930 14th St., Port Royal , will hold a Grand Opening and Artist Reception, Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 5-8 pm.
