Once again, First Presbyterian Church of Beaufort is preparing for a magnificent Nativity Display featuring more than 100 nativity scenes from across the world. As always, this year’s event is a gift to the public and open for all to enjoy on Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 9 from 12:00-2:00 p.m.
CraftHiltonHead2018, Art League’s 6th National Juried Fine Arts Craft Guild Exhibition, which occurs once every two years, will showcase over one hundred 2 and 3-dimensional craft works of featured artists from around the country, competing for over $4,000 in cash awards.
Marianne Stillwagon is the featured artist for December at The Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) gallery in Old Town Bluffton. Her exhibit will run from Dec. 3-Jan. 6 with a wine and cheese reception from 3-5 p.m. Dec. 9 at the gallery. These events are free and open to the public.
What do you like about the South? For artist, Margaret Crawford, she can remember the salty air and peacefulness since the late 70’s. Before becoming a Lowcountry resident, Crawford studied at the Pittsburgh Art Institute, Carnegie Mellon University and The Art Students League in New York City. With over twenty solo exhibits on her resume, you do not want to miss this exhibit and its ode to the South.
The Port Royal Sound Foundation is hosting a Recycled Art Contest to help bring awareness to Beaufort County’s plastic bag ban and keep the water and land of the Port Royal Sound Area clean and healthy.
The Sea Islands Center Gallery at the University of South Carolina Beaufort will present Indigo Rain: Secreta, Magica, Memoria, an exhibition featuring artwork by Zipporah Camille Thompson, Nov. 8 from 5 to 8 pm.
