Join hundreds of people for the third annual Beaufort Walk for Water on September 21, 2019 to help bring safe water for life to thousands of men, women and children across the world. This year's ambitious fundraising goal is $50,000 – almost doubling the amount raised in the first two years combined.
Hunting Island’s Visitor Center is undergoing a complete transformation over the next year. To kick off the initial work, six Beaufort Academy art students from teacher Paula Quinn’s class came to the park last week to see the sketches and meet the artists.

This year’s Garden a Day event, celebrating National Gardening week, is June 3 to June 7, and features gardens on The Point, Pigeon Point, near town and two on Lady’s Island. The Beaufort Garden Club invites the public to visit five gardens, free of charge, from 9 am to 12:30 pm, rain or shine.

Cecilia Wright, a Senior at Beaufort High School, was presented with a $1000 check at the Lowcountry Wind Symphony’s recent Spring Concert, ‘European Treasures’ at Sea Island Presbyterian Church.
St. James Orthodox Church seems to be one of the best kept secrets of Beaufort County. But if it is hidden, it is hidden in plain sight. “We are one of only two Orthodox churches in the county, the other one being Holy Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church in Bluffton. So it isn’t surprising if we aren’t all that well known yet in Beaufort,” offered Father James Bozeman. 
The Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) welcomes featured artist Kendra Natter — whose photography will exhibit from June 3rd – June 30th at the SoBA gallery. The Gallery Opening Reception is from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, June 9th at the SoBA gallery, located at 6 Church Street in Old Town Bluffton.
