For more than fifteen years now, the Beaufort Harbormasters have delivered Singing Valentines all around the Beaufort area. They have sung to sweethearts, wives, lovers, hospital patients and nurses, (even doctors), senior centers, office staff, Marine Corps families, restaurant and gallery patrons, firefighters, police officers, private parties, political meetings . . . and all sorts of innocent bystanders. What a way to spread the love.

After Hurricane Matthew forced a postponement last fall, the USCB Center for the Arts is delighted to finally host the much-anticipated musical tribute to the legendary three time Grammy winner Etta James on Saturday, January 21 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, January 22, at 3 pm. Dr. Marlena Smalls, world renowned singer, entertainer, educator and actress, will perform many of James’ hits including her signature hit, “At Last.”

The members of the Hilton Head Choral Society gathered the first weekend in November for a retreat. Not only did the group come together to reflect on their 41st season of song, the HHCS also came to the aid of some of the most helpless victims of Hurricane Matthew.
