Hasn’t the weather been perfect for enjoying the outdoors? The cool weather arrived just in time for raking, cleaning up, mulching and planting. Remember this is absolutely the most perfect time to plant perennials, spring bulbs, shrubs and trees.
Are you grateful? Do you cultivate an attitude of gratitude?
This year, I have noticed a trend on Facebook where my friends are posting something that they are grateful for every single day. Instead of waiting for one appointed day to express gratitude for things large or small, they express gratitude for something every single day. I have seen some amazing posts.
We all feel tired at times. And for some of us, weariness is a constant feeling. Many of us practically live with our fingers on the snooze button. And when we’re awake, some of us never really get going. It’s like being in a constant haze.
The world's largest tomato throwing festival takes place in the small Spanish town of Buñol, 45 minutes outside of Valencia, every year. It's called La Tomatina. And ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be in a food fight like the ones I saw in the movies. With only four hours of sleep since our last night in Madrid, the four of us travelers woke up at 5:45 a.m. to catch a metro and a train to Buñol. We had to make do with wine for breakfast and to no surprise, there were hundreds of people from around the world who also shared my dream of launching ripened red fruits.
Have you ever heard the saying, “We become what we judge?”
When we judge someone, our behaviors begin to mirror what we judge. For example, if you judge someone for a prejudice, you become prejudiced against them. You may have started from a place of moral righteousness (caution! warning!) but you eventually become the very thing you resent.
