USCB Chamber Music's first concert of its 38th season will be presented at 5:00pm on Sunday, November 5. As has been the case since the series' inception, this concert will offer a variety of musical styles and time periods. Featuring flute, cello, and piano, the concert begins with a work from the 1730's, J.S. Bach's Sonata in E-flat Major for Flute and Keyboard, BWV 1031.

Ninety-eight years ago, U.S. President Woodrow Wilson pronounced November 11 as the commemoration of the armistice that ended the "Great War," WWI, with these words:
"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations..."

My husband Vince and I love Greek food! Whenever we travel, we always look for authentic Greek restaurants. One of our all-time favorite Greek dishes is Spanakopita. 'Art That Makes You Smile' is exactly what you will see at Art League Gallery, Hilton Head's Best Gallery 2017. The newest exhibition featuring art by John K. Crum will be on display November 7 to December 2. An artist's reception will be held on November 9, from 5-7 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
