Over 90 local artists’ works are featured at the Beaufort Art Association’s All Member Show that runs at the BAA Gallery at 913 Bay Street in Beaufort now through Jan. 5. This show features over 700 pieces of artwork including one-of-a-kind, original oil, watercolor, pastel, and acrylic paintings, photography, jewelry, prints and notecards.
Scott Ainslie will perform at Music on Malphrus, 110 Malphrus Road, in Bluffton, Saturday, Nov. 23, at 7:00 pm. General Admission is $20. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

When Harrier Tubman died in 1913, she told the people in the room with her, “I go to prepare a place for you.” At this very moment in time, Beaufort is hard at work preparing a special place on Craven Street to remember and honor an American treasure.

Some of my BFF’s have four legs. Dogs, kitties, horses. For years, my mother begged, cajoled and finally demanded that I give her at least one grandchild. But neither my older sister nor I ever complied. The only blood-related grands she ever had were granddogs, grandcats and grandhorses. As Mom didn’t share our love of animals, she was not amused.
