Art League welcomes featured artist Kendra Natter, whose show Photographic Journey of the Lowcountry is a reflection of Natter’s ever-evolving photography and digital arts. Natter is an active board member of the Camera Club of Hilton Head Island. The natural environment of the Lowcountry has been a regular theme of her work. 

Those waves of spring-like warmth and depth-of-winter cold that have repeatedly swept over our gardens lately haven’t caused my hydrangeas to burst into bloom yet – unlike the old Kiefer pear trees which have made a gorgeous show of flowering, only to be zapped back to bare stems once the cold returned.

Beaufort History Museum will present its fifth annual Living History Encampment on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 9 am – 5 pm in the Arsenal courtyard. Re-enactors coming to Beaufort from several states will portray Union troops from the Department of the South who were garrisoned in the Lowcountry and occupied the Beaufort Arsenal during the Civil War. 

The nonprofit Pat Conroy Literary Center's third annual Camp Conroy will be held on June 15 to 26, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Presented in partnership with Beaufort Middle School, the collaborative experience will provide campers (age 8-14) with a hands-on opportunities to create a book from start to finish.
