An Abundance of Riches (or whatever their names are)

Dear Aunt Bossy,

I could use some romance advice. I'm a 28-year-old woman, recently single and back in the dating scene. I have a history of jumping from one relationship to the next, so I'm trying to take it slow and up my standards. I've found myself dating two very eligible men. Of course I like one more than the other, but I seem to be more compatible with the other, so I have a tricky situation.

So little time, so many questions. Some folks say the only dumb questions are the ones not asked. So here I go with a few simple inquiries.

Bringing its unique sizzle to the stage, the contemporary dance company, Hubbard Street 2 (HS2), based in Chicago, IL, will be performing at the Arts Center for one night only, at 8pm, January 18th. Celebrating 15 years this season, HS2 was founded by Julie Nakaawa Bottcher and is now led by Taryn Kaschock Russell. HS2 was recently acclaimed by the Julliard Journal Online as “….a tremendous show of virtuosity, beauty and intimacy.”

It’s that time of year when folks like me are expected to offer up an annual reflection . . . a thoughtful retrospective that somehow – through the magic of hindsight? – might lend new insight into the year gone by. Since I can hardly remember what happened last week, much less last year, I began reading through my old columns to see what I obsessed about most in 2012. Was it the soul-crush of election year politics? The antisocial effects of social media?
