In honor of Veterans Day, the United States Air Force Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble will perform two concerts here in the Lowcountry. The first is Friday, November 11 at 8 pm at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head. The second is Saturday, November 12^th at 7 pm at the Beaufort High School Arts Center. Both concerts are FREE and open to the public.

Twenty-five years ago, filmmaker Julie Dash broke through racial and gender boundaries with her Sundance award-winning film (Best Cinematography) Daughters of the Dust, and she became the first African American woman to have a wide theatrical release of her feature film.
