The Society of Bluffton Artists presents “A Holiday Boutique,” a collection of local gifts, handmade treasures, cards, small paintings and more, on display and available from November 19 through December 23. The 5th edition of CraftHiltonHead2016,National Juried Fine Arts Craft Guild Exhibition, which occurs only once every two years, will showcase up to ninety 2 and 3-dimensional craft works of featured artists from around the country, competing for cash awards.
The Lowcountry Wind Symphony announces the beginning of its third season, which includes significant and exciting changes! Each of the three concert programs will be performed for audiences at venues both North and South of the Broad. The first two performances proudly honor all men and women who have served in the military.
In honor of Veterans Day, the United States Air Force Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble will perform two concerts here in the Lowcountry. The first is Friday, November 11 at 8 pm at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head. The second is Saturday, November 12th at 7 pm at the Beaufort High School Arts Center. Both concerts are FREE and open to the public.
Twenty-five years ago, filmmaker Julie Dash broke through racial and gender boundaries with her Sundance award-winning film (Best Cinematography) Daughters of the Dust, and she became the first African American woman to have a wide theatrical release of her feature film.

USCB Center for the Arts is appreciative of the recovery efforts following Hurricane Matthew. “We are rescheduling events for a later time when residents are ready to celebrate the recovery and resilience of our community,” says Bonnie Hargrove, director of the Center for the Arts. “A Tribute to Etta James,” starring Marlena Smalls, has been rescheduled, along with some Met Opera Live in HD performances and the CFA fundraiser “An Affair with the Arts.” Tickets for all events are for sale online at www.uscbcenterforthearts.com or through the box-office 843-521-4145.
