A collection of artist Hank D. Herring’s iconic cultural work entitled “Sankofa: Go Back to Fetch It” will be featured at the Beaufort Art Association (BAA) from Feb. 24 through April 3. An opening reception will be held at the Gallery at 913 Bay Street in Beaufort on Friday, March 1, from 5 to 7:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. There will also be on exhibit the work of 65 other local artists, who are members of the Gallery. The public is invited.
An exhibition of 50 historic photographs by documentary photographer Jim Lucas—A Past That Won’t Rest: Images of the Civil Rights Movement in Mississippi—will be on display from February 26 – March 17 at USCB Center for the Arts Gallery. An opening reception and book signing will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 pm on Thursday, February 28.
Lowcountry artists are invited to submit their works of art for The Society of Bluffton Artists’ (SoBA) 25th Annual Judged Show. 
“Coming South for the first time in the late spring I had a head of full of images of what this place might be like,” writes Jayne Parker in the Artist Statement for her photography exhibit, A Year in the Lowcountry. 
Natalie Daise’s exhibit ‘Greens in the Community Garden’is on display at USCB Center for the Arts now through February 20. A lifelong visual and performing artist, Natalie’s work is inspired by heritage and community. Collard greens, which appear in many of her paintings, connect her to her father and tie in to family gatherings, stories and deeper connections. 
Award-winning photographer Edith Wood has always had a love of the outdoors. She uses natural light and composition to capture perfect moments in time. Her photography exhibit “In the Eye of the Beholder” will showcase wildlife, landscape and macro photography from February 4 through March 3 at The Society of Bluffton Artists (SoBA) gallery, located at 6 Church Street in Old Town Bluffton.Site Designed and Maintained by Vision Technology Management
