The May River Theatre Co., Inc. is pleased to its next production, SUGAR, the musical version of SOME LIKE IT HOT. SUGAR comes to the stage with the same memorable characters that made the screenplay so popular: Joe and Jerry, the musicians who become Josephine and Daphne; Spats Palaza, a nortorious Chicago gangster; Sweet Sue and her Society Synocpaters; Sugar, a sweet, beauty and the Syncopater’s featured singer; and Sir Osgood Fielding, a man determined to woo and win Daphne (Jerry).     SUGAR will open on August 15th and run until the 31st, with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. and Sunday Matinees at 3 p.m. All performances will be in Ulmer Auditorium in Bluffton Town Hall, at the corner of Bridge and Pritchard in downtown Bluffton. Reserved seats can be purchased July 14th-August 29th by calling the theatre box office at 843-815-5581. Box Office Hours are: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $20.00.
