While rummaging through our living room library recently, I came upon a lovely whimsical poem called “If I Were King,” published in 1924 by the author of “Winnie-the-Pooh,” Alan Alexander Milne:

I often wish I were a king,                   
And then I could do anything.

Congratulations to all my Episcopal, Catholic, Lutheran and many Protestant friends and family. You are one week in with only a little over five to go. It won’t be long, Livi, until you can cover everything back up again with ketchup so you have no idea what you’re eating anyway.  Margot, it’s only a matter of time before you can start pulling the white things out of your onion rings and eat only the fried crispy goodness again.

Piano Quartets will comprise the primary offerings of the March 8 Chamber Music concert at the USCB Center for the Arts. Schubert, Saint-Saens and Dvorak quartets will display the brilliant talents of composer and pianist Adam Neiman, violinist Maria Bachmann (left), violist Hsin-Yun Huang, and the USCB Festival Series host and resident cellist Edward Arron. Neiman and Bachmann, who tour and record together as two-thirds of the Trio Solisti, will also perform a serenade composed by the pianist.

The Beaufort Memorial Hospital (BMH) Foundation recently announced that Dr. and Mrs. John W. Gray III will serve as honorary chairs for the 2015 Duke Symphony Orchestra Concert which will be held on March 28^th at the USCB Performing Arts Center.
