The January 13, 2019, 5:00 pm USCB Chamber Music concert features compositions for three string instruments—guitar, violin, and cello—across eight works: three for solo guitar, one for solo violin, two for cello and guitar, and two for violin and guitar. It traces an arc from old (1735) to modern (1986) and swings from North German High Baroque counterpoint to Argentinian-Barrio Tango, with two stops in Brazil, and one each in Spain, Paraguay, Venezuela. If you are intrigued by the guitar, this concert is for you.

Eliza Lucas Pinckney (1722–1793) revolutionized Colonial American agriculture by successfully cultivating commercial indigo dye production in South Carolina. She was a teenager at the time, entrusted by her father with the management of his Lowcountry plantations. At 21, Eliza married widower Charles Pinckney, and their sons, Thomas and Charles Cotesworth, played distinguished roles in the founding of the new American Republic.
The Beaufort Art Association is featuring the work of the Fiber Artists of Beaufort (FAB) during the months of January and February. Art League Seeks Artists for National Juried Exhibition

Art League of Hilton Head invites artists to enter the 2019Biennale, its 26th National Juried Exhibition, held every other year across multiple media types. Over $5000 in cash prizes will be awarded. All works of art selected by jurors will be on display at Art League Gallery.
The Rough & Tumble will perform at Music on Malphrus, 110 Malphrus Road, in Bluffton, SC, Saturday, January 12, at 7:00 pm. General Admission is $20. Doors open at 6:00 pm.
