Art League Academy students who have won awards during the Spring 2015-Winter2016 sessions will showcase their award-winning artworks alongside their instructors at "The Academy Awards" exhibition opening on April 5, 2016 at Art League Gallery. Winning categories are: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, honorable mention and People’s Choice awards. The public is invited to the artist's reception on Thursday, April 7th from 5-7pm.

        “To see a student take a creative idea and bring it to life is truly rewarding for the student--and for me,” states Alexandra Sharma, exhibition curator, and one of the participating instructors. Art League Academy instructors Joanna Chalson, Art Cornell, Margaret Crawford, Dennis Lake, Don Nagel and Joyce Nagel will also be represented in this unique show. All Art League Academy instructors are professional art educators.

           “The Academy Awards” runs from April 5-30, Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-4pm. The public is invited to an Opening Reception Thursday, April 7from 5pm-7pm. Enjoy refreshments and meet the artists. This event is free and open to the public.
